for the next steam special celebrating the founding of the state railways.
Should have run this week as double header oil burners.
Lots of rail traffic at present, with many a freight train seen rumbling
past the line near the hotel. Commuter services overcrowded as usual and
well supported due to traffic congestion with the Red Party protests.
In one of the shopping centers, there was an exhibit for the world cup and
they had some brochures they were handing out. Lo and behold, all the
transport photos, were of the front of the Rovos 19D, two interior shots of
their coaches, and then an early morning under the catenery shot of a 19D on
what looks like the Union Limited! Hopefully we will now have lots of rail
fan soccer supporting Thai folks out here!
