There are now a large number of the class 25's in Gauteng, with the class being spread amongst Reef Steamers in Germiston, FOTR and Rovos Rail.

Plans are to get the one NC as a coal burner up and running within three months so as to be able to operate on one of the steam safari operations heading up North via Magaliesburg/Mafeking /Botswana.

Cutting of the class 25s is complete at Kimberley and half the dump at Warrenton is now cut up.

Scrap is sold locally to a company making steel rod reinforcing for buildings, while the lead in the wheel counterweights is sold to another local firm.

Nothing goes to waste.

That's all folks for now.
