FOTR AGM 26 March 2011 - reminder and documents

Post by John Ashworth »

FOTR Company Secretary Chris Janisch wrote:Dear members

You are reminded of the 2011 AGM, to be held at Hermanstad on Saturday 26 March at 14h00.

Attached are financial statements from 2010, which do not include the month of December. Also find attached the minutes of the latest board meeting, which contains some important information.

It is well known that running trains to Cullinan is now a NIGHTMARE!! The only way forward for us, is to start utilising our extensive club grounds at Hermanstad Station. This will be in the form of a monthly OPEN DAY where the club will stage a mini railway related flea market with beer garden/ braai area, live music, tea cafe’, pony rides & jumping castle, miniature train rides as well as a loco in steam chuffing up and down the track in our own yard. We also envisage using restored old coaches for a fixed museum, model train layout and DVD viewing car.

All members can contribute something, and it need not take up too much time. Our club's survival depends on this.

If any of our Club members have any contacts for any of these activities, please let Nathan or Chris Janisch know about them. Our first mini (stand alone) Open Day is attentively planned for the first week end in May.

LAH [Lend A Hand]

Many Hands make light work!
